ABOUT THE POSITION: As a Material Project Manager, you'll have an important role in ensuring material supply to projects within the maintenance of marine vessels. You'll oversee the materials and services needed in the projects and follow them through the workflow – from identified need and ordering to ensuring the right material is available for operations at the right time. This is not a traditional project management role. The role is operations-focused and practical, which means you'll have extensive contact with procurement, materials planning, warehousing, production, and other technical functions. Sometimes the work involves following up on a delayed delivery, sometimes finding out exactly which component is needed, or ensuring the material has actually arrived where it should. You'll become part of a team with experienced colleagues who will support you as you enter the role. As someone at the beginning of your career, there are therefore good opportunities to gradually build your understanding of material flows, projects, and marine operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and follow up on material supply in ongoing projects Ensure materials and services are available according to project needs and schedules Follow up on orders, order confirmations, and deliveries Create structure and overview of material requirements in projects Work closely with procurement, materials planning, warehousing, and operational activities Support operations in identifying and specifying what materials are needed Search for information about articles and components when existing documentation needs to be supplemented Handle deviations and help solve material-related problems that arise along the way WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU IF YOU: Have post-secondary education in, for example, procurement, logistics, supply chain, economics, industrial economics, or other relevant field Have approximately 1–3 years of experience in, for example, procurement, materials planning, logistics, supply chain, or similar work Understand material flows and how a material need progresses from ordering to delivery and use in operations Have good administrative skills and are used to creating structure and following up on multiple activities in parallel Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in the work It's a plus if you have: Experience from production, industry, warehousing, or maintenance operations Experience in operational or tactical procurement Worked with materials planning or production planning A technical interest and enjoy learning about products and components Experience from shipyard operations, marine products, or similar environments To thrive in the role, we believe above all that you are curious, driven, and organized. ABOUT THE CLIENT COMPANY: The client company is an established technology company that develops, maintains, and further develops technical products and systems for socially important operations. In the current operations, they work with maintenance of marine platforms where functioning material supply is an important prerequisite for projects to be completed as planned. ABOUT THE POSITION: This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant for our client. For the right person, there's a good chance of extension.
