Do you want to work with data used to develop the future of energy technology? We're now recruiting a Data Engineer for a Swedish tech company in the solar cell industry, where research, product development, and advanced manufacturing happen under the same roof. Here you'll work with data from machines, production systems, and technical processes, and become part of a cross-functional environment where data engineering collaborates with software, mechatronics, production, and research. About the Role As a Data Engineer, you'll work with collecting, structuring, and making data accessible from different parts of the business. This can include data from production and machinery, as well as from research and other technical systems. A central part of the role is building and developing data pipelines, as well as working with SQL, data modeling, and data quality. You'll also create dashboards and reports that make data more accessible and useful for different parts of the organization. In the existing data environment, tools such as the ELK stack, Knowi, and PostgreSQL are used. Since research, development, and production are located near each other, you'll work closely with both the data and the technical processes that generate it. You'll collaborate with colleagues in software, mechatronics, vision, production, and research. In this role, you'll have independent responsibility for defined data pipelines, data models, and dashboards, while developing alongside more experienced colleagues. Responsibilities • Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines for different types of technical data • Transform raw data into structured and usable datasets • Work with SQL, data modeling, and data transformation • Create and maintain dashboards and reports • Work with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and other parts of the ELK stack • Troubleshoot data flows and data quality issues • Contribute to better structure and reliability in existing data flows We're Looking for You If You • Have relevant post-secondary education in areas such as data, IT, technology, or equivalent • Have experience with SQL, databases, and working with data pipelines or data transformation • Have experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages • Have worked with dashboards, reporting, or data visualization • Have strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as these languages are used in daily work Meritorious Experience • ELK stack, such as Elasticsearch or Logstash • Knowi or other BI and dashboard tools • PostgreSQL • Data from production, machinery, sensors, or other technical systems We believe you're a curious and solution-oriented person who enjoys understanding how both data and technical systems fit together. You work in a structured and methodical way when solving problems and take responsibility for ensuring that what you build works for those who will use it. At the same time, you appreciate collaborating with other engineers and technical expertise and are happy to contribute ideas on how data flows and work processes can be improved. A background check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
