Who am I, the person seeking a personal assistant?
I am a 28-year-old guy who uses a wheelchair and studied IT at Linnaeus University in Kalmar. I now work in technical customer support. I live in a private apartment in central Kalmar.
In my free time, I play wheelchair floorball, go to the gym, play games, engage in various social issues and organizations that interest me, and go on various trips.
As an assistant, you are expected to join me in what I want to do. Your workplace is where I am—it could be at home, at work, or during leisure activities.
I need help with, among other things, toilet visits, transfers, dressing and undressing.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is engaged, respectful, and attentive. We would like you to have great patience and the ability to be personable while acting professionally. You should be attentive, have a sense of organization and order, be confident in yourself, and have a twinkle in your eye.
We would appreciate it if you have previous experience working as a personal assistant, or alternatively other experience in care and support. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
We are looking for both women and men.
We would also like it if you:
Have a genuine interest in helping others.
Are a non-smoker.
Can understand and make yourself understood in Swedish.
Can work flexible hours—day, evening, weekend, and night.
Other Information
Employment type: Fixed-term or as-needed employment
Scope: Fixed-term employment one night per week plus additional hours as needed, with the possibility to work more during summer, and as-needed employment to fill in when needed, with the possibility of fixed hours during summer 2026.
Work hours: Daytime usually between 07:30–19:00, night usually between 19:00–07:30
Start date: June 1, 2026; onboarding may take place earlier.
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
An extract from the criminal record will be submitted in connection with the interview.
Before a possible employment, you must be able to demonstrate that you have the right to work in Sweden by presenting EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work permit.
