At the non-profit Foundation Läxhjälpen, you contribute your skills and commitment to help more students achieve the requirements with confidence for the future. For the fall term 2026, we're looking for homework tutors in Gothenburg who want to help lay the foundation for a successful school year! We're looking for someone interested in a paid part-time job while making a concrete contribution to society. The position is hourly employment in the afternoons/evenings and involves being a homework tutor after school hours at one of our partner schools. You'll work in a team of three tutors, all university or college students. You'll receive training in and work according to our structured methodology. Each homework help group consists of 15 students, and together with your colleagues, you're responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the work. As a homework tutor, you can work either as a regular tutor or as a substitute. As a regular tutor, you work 6 hours per week spread over two scheduled afternoons/evenings (with the possibility of extra substitution shifts). As a substitute, you work when regular tutors are on leave or sick. The work is performed after school hours in the school's facilities. We're looking for someone who: - Is a university or college student - Has a pedagogical ability and can communicate and build relationships with children and young people - Is solution-oriented, takes initiative, and can work according to our structured methodology and approach - Has broad fundamental subject competence and good study skills - Shares Foundation Läxhjälpen's values and vision of a society where all children grow up with the conditions to succeed in school and shape their own future Since the job involves working with children, we place great importance on personal suitability. Disclosure of a police background check certificate to the employer is a legal requirement for working with children and young people. The differences between schools, where you live, where you come from, and what your parents do increasingly determine the likelihood that you'll succeed in school. Foundation Läxhjälpen is a non-profit foundation that works where the need is greatest. Läxhjälpen is free for students, and tutor salaries are financed through support from the business community and the public sector. Läxhjälpen is a concrete measure tackling one of Sweden's biggest challenges today—increasing numbers of young people not succeeding in school and risking exclusion from society. Carefully selected, paid university students help young people with their studies two evenings a week and serve as positive role models and mentors. Since our founding in 2007, we've developed a structured approach and a clear goal—improve grades and help students progress to upper secondary school.
