Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility As a specialized mathematics teacher, you work closely with students in a teaching role, either with individual students or with smaller groups. You plan and implement adapted instruction and support measures for students. You follow up, evaluate, and document the effect of the support measures that are implemented. You motivate and guide students toward strong academic results. You contribute to the school's goal fulfillment and are engaged in the entire school's development. You are part of a team with our special education teachers and collaborate on student matters. Qualifications We are looking for an experienced and certified teacher in mathematics at the upper secondary level with advanced education as a specialized mathematics teacher, with work experience from upper secondary school or adult education. For this position, it is crucial that you have a specialized teacher degree and authorization to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level. We are looking for you who have good knowledge of and experience teaching students who struggle to reach mathematics goals. You have experience working with students with general math difficulties and with students with dyscalculia. You can meet students where they are academically and know how to help them fill the knowledge gaps that cause their mathematics difficulties. The work may involve instruction at several different levels, and therefore it is advantageous if you have broad experience. You have a genuine interest in working with students who have difficulties in mathematics. Furthermore, you have the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Employment Type The position is a permanent part-time employment starting immediately or by agreement. For this position, we apply a six-month probationary period.
