The IT department plays an important role in crime prevention and investigation work, and our primary task is to provide IT services to the entire Swedish Police Authority to improve efficiency and quality in police work. Our Delivery and Support team works to deliver, maintain, coordinate, and manage the technology used by the authority's employees in their work. We deliver and provide support for all technology used by core operations. In addition to office equipment, you will also handle police IT equipment. We now need to strengthen our team with a technician who wants to work with second-line support and install technology in various assignments. Job Description As an IT Technician, you have an exciting workday where you work closely with operations in an interesting work environment. You focus on solutions based on the police's work and operational needs. Your main responsibilities include: Providing IT support in the field (second-line) and helping our end users with technical problems Working with installations during renovations Delivery and installation of new technology in various areas Administration of existing equipment Working as an IT Technician in Delivery and Support means being part of a strong team where collaboration and community are in focus. We primarily meet our users in person and provide on-site support. Your base location is in Skövde, but you will work across the entire West region. Travel occurs and on-call duty is part of the position. Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: Several years of relevant and current practical experience as a Second-line IT Technician, support technician, on-site technician, or in another equivalent role, where you have independently handled cases and delivered qualified IT support. Relevant experience of independently driving your own work, preferably where you have driven and planned projects or managed implementations. Good knowledge of PCs, printers, peripherals, and network communication equipment. Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. Class B driver's license with experience driving a car (manual transmission). The position requires Swedish citizenship. Meritorious The following competencies are otherwise meritorious for the position. You do not need to have expertise in everything, as you will have the opportunity to receive training and learn on the job with us. IT-focused upper secondary or post-secondary education, preferably with a focus where you have acquired good knowledge within networks and infrastructure and/or IT operations with a focus on hardware. Experience working in case management systems with associated documentation. Knowledge of Cisco, such as CCNA certification. Experience with administrative work on server configuration, policy management, and/or AD. Experience setting up new workstations and new establishments. Experience working with mobile phone administration in larger organizations as the employer finds relevant. Experience working with telephone exchange systems. Experience working with audio/video systems/conference facilities.
