We warmly welcome your application! About the Assignment We are looking for an IT technician for a government agency in Gothenburg. This position is a consulting assignment via Bemannia starting September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027 with the possibility of extension. The position is full-time (100%) and you will work during office hours at the client's office in Gothenburg. To succeed in this role, we would like you to have good social skills and a high level of customer service orientation toward users. You are driven and have a serious interest in IT and user support. We appreciate good analytical abilities so you can quickly identify errors and find solutions. The client aims to maintain high availability and resolve as many cases as possible at first contact. More time-consuming cases and complex problems will be escalated to second-line IT support. Your Responsibilities Your tasks will include resolving cases, so-called incidents, that come into the client's IT support. The role will also include first-line IT support (phone reception) regarding hardware and software, including mobile devices and access rights. You will serve as a local IT technician primarily working with the operation and development of the agency's local network environment and communication between computers in the same building. Your responsibilities also include: Troubleshooting and assessing how errors should best be resolved. Providing support and assistance to users. Participating in managing data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments. This includes computers in different locations and also in global networks. Testing new products and informing users about updates. Participating in installing and configuring computers that manage network communication. For example, routers, servers, and workstations. Working to make IT operations secure, for example, installing firewalls. Installing software and adapting it to the network. Providing technical support for IT equipment in conference rooms, for example, video conferencing systems. Backup management. Administering standard systems such as email and calendar. Administering backup, storage, and application servers. Participating in daily operations work. Your Qualifications Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent. Higher education in IT, for example, a degree as an IT engineer with a data focus or other equivalent IT education. Plus at least one (1) year of work experience as an IT technician. Alternatively, secondary education or equivalent and three (3) years of work experience from similar work. Knowledge of case management systems, for example, EasitGO or ServiceNow. Able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security, as this position involves providing IT support.
