Your responsibilities
As an on-site IT Technician, you'll be a local and physical extension of Loomis' global IT helpdesk. You work close to users and ensure the daily IT environment functions stably, securely, and smoothly.
You will, among other things:
- Provide on-site support and troubleshoot IT problems on location
- Handle incidents, requests, and escalations in collaboration with the global helpdesk
- Install, configure, and administer computers, phones, printers, and other equipment
- Work with client management, account administration, and permissions
- Provide support for workplace, networking, printers, and peripheral equipment
- Work in a Microsoft environment with, for example, Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS
- Monitor surveillance and contribute to ensuring daily operations run smoothly
- Document, administer, and follow procedures in a regulated operation
- Contribute to various IT projects, changes, and improvements when the operation requires it
The role is event-driven and suits you if you enjoy switching between quick support tasks, planned work assignments, and technical problems where the solution isn't always obvious from the start.
Good to know
This is a permanent full-time position with an initial probationary period of six months. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, and the role is based at Loomis Sverige AB's head office in Sollentuna, with on-site presence as the standard. In case of special needs, some flexibility may occur, but the role is fundamentally on-site.
You'll be part of Loomis Sverige's IT department and report to the IT Manager. In your daily work, you'll collaborate closely with Operations and Support and also work with colleagues in Denmark, global IT, and the operation's users. Loomis operates in a regulated and security-classified environment, which means background checks and screening via the County Administrative Board are part of the process.
Our expectations
We're looking for you with at least two to three years of experience in IT support, preferably in an on-site environment. You have good technical understanding and are used to helping users with computers, phones, printers, network equipment, installations, and troubleshooting. You have knowledge of the Microsoft environment and feel comfortable with Windows, Active Directory, and basic networking-related questions. A high school diploma with an IT focus or equivalent knowledge is a requirement, while post-secondary IT education is a merit.
You speak and write Swedish and English fluently, as the role involves contact with both local users and global IT colleagues. As a person, you are service-oriented, communicative, and pedagogical. You find it easy to build trust, remain calm when things get hectic, and take responsibility for driving requests forward. You are organized, meticulous, and solution-oriented, while also being curious about new technology and not hesitant to ask for help when needed.
