As a junior IT technician in Digital Workplace, you will work in our logistics team, which is an important part of the municipality's IT delivery. We are responsible for ensuring that thousands of employees receive the right IT equipment at the right time – a central part of creating a functioning and secure digital work environment for the municipality's operations. In this role, you will, among other things:
Handle orders, distribution and return of user-facing IT equipment, both on-site with our end users and in our logistics workshop
Work practically with receiving, registration, configuration and dispatch of equipment
Provide basic user support and help users on-site
Perform basic system administration in our management systems
Contribute to order, structure and flow in our logistics processes
Work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in the team
This is a learning role where you receive support from experienced colleagues, clear processes according to ITIL, and great opportunities to grow further within IT.
Your workplace
We are the municipality's IT department and belong to the Administration of Operations Support and Services. Here, approximately 120 employees work to deliver stable, secure and modern IT services to the municipality's operations – and by extension to students, users and residents.
We in the User-Facing IT unit are a team of approximately 20 employees who together drive and develop the municipality's user-facing digital workplace. Our mission is to make the workday simpler and smoother for all employees, and we are responsible for everything from computers and tablets to phones and accessories.
Our logistics team supports this work and is responsible for the lifecycle management of the municipality's IT equipment. This includes responsibility for ordering, registration, receiving, distribution, returns and, to some extent, on-site support. This position has an extra large focus on the lifecycle management of our user-facing devices.
For us, helpfulness and development are essential. We are happy to share our knowledge, support each other in everyday life and improve our working methods together. With us, you get a welcoming workplace with lots of work satisfaction and great opportunities to grow.
You who are applying
We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career and wants to work practically with IT and service.
We see that you have:
knowledge and interest in IT, digital working methods or mobile technology
high school education
Driver's license category B, as the work requires you to be able to get to our various operations
As a person you are:
service-oriented, attentive and treat others professionally
team-oriented and enjoy working in a team where people help each other
initiative-taking and like getting things done
structured and enjoy having order and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
self-driven and take responsibility for structuring and moving the work forward
It is a merit – but not a requirement – if you have experience from service, retail, warehouse, logistics or basic IT tasks. What is important to us is IT knowledge and interest, energy and willingness to learn – not how much experience you already have.
