The HR and IT unit works both strategically and operationally to create the best possible conditions for leadership, team engagement, and effective and accessible IT support. We work closely with operations and support the administration's various areas. The work is characterized by cooperation, a focus on development, and close support for managers and employees. About the team The IT function is a small and experienced team with broad expertise and diverse backgrounds in IT, coordination, and operational support. Work is conducted close to operations and in collaboration with other administrations and central functions across the city. The team consists of people with different experiences, competencies, and work styles, which requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to create structure and coherence. Your role The role involves coordinating responsibility for holding the team's work together, creating structure and clarifying priorities, without formal personnel responsibility. You'll contribute to developing work methods and handle both long-term development issues and operationally-focused IT support, such as client environments, telephony, user support, and coordinating the operation's IT needs. You'll report to the HR Manager and work closely with operational managers, coordinators, project managers, and central functions within Stockholm city. Your role includes, among other things: participating in and in some cases driving major IT projects within the administration and together with other city administrations leading and driving digital transformation projects formulating and following up requirements for procurements and management of contracts for digital systems and tools working with environmental monitoring in IT and digitalization developing the unit's strategies and contributing to the administration's strategic goals developing and improving work methods and strengthening collaboration internally and externally mapping local IT processes and proposing development initiatives implementing and further developing the IT governance model PM3 coordinating and leading the IT function's work and contributing to structure, prioritization, and a holistic perspective in the team serving as a link between operations, the city's central IT organization, and external partners Your competence and experience We're looking for someone who has: post-secondary education in IT, data/systems science, informatics, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent broad experience in the IT field experience leading or coordinating projects and/or development work experience as a project manager/coordinator/team leader experience with operationally-focused IT support and collaboration with multiple stakeholders experience with change management and digitalization experience working both strategically and operationally in parallel good organizational and analytical skills very good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing Meritorious: experience with PM3 experience with Stockholm city's governance and organization knowledge of public procurement knowledge of data communications and networks knowledge of AI and new digital solutions knowledge of GDPR and information security experience from a municipal, regional, or other large organization with a complex IT environment Personal skills and competencies You are service-oriented, positive, and solution-focused, with the ability to support operations based on their needs. You have good holistic perspective and understand the interaction between IT, operations, and organization. You move between strategic and operational issues and prioritize based on the team's mandate and operational goals. You have very good collaboration skills and work closely with operations, other administrations, and central functions. You are receptive, unpretentious, and solution-oriented, and you build trusting relationships. You are structured and can plan, prioritize, and organize effectively. You bring clarity to complex situations and handle multiple tasks in parallel. You are stable and calm under pressure, maintain focus, and make well-considered prioritizations between strategic and operational needs. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
