Your Role
As IT and Digitalization Manager, you have overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and developing IT and digitalization at Mälarenergi Vatten AB. You ensure that the IT environment safely, stably, and efficiently supports the business needs – from water production and wastewater treatment to distribution and administrative processes.
You serve as the link between the business, the group's IT function, operations staff, and external suppliers – with a focus on making everything work in practice. You represent Vatten in group-wide forums and are an active voice in discussions about priorities, development, and shared solutions.
Your role also includes formulating and driving the company's own IT strategy and roadmap. You analyze the current state, identify the business's needs, and translate these into a clear plan for how IT should develop in the coming years. You prioritize and drive development initiatives and investments.
In parallel, you work closely with the operations team to:
Map system management, roles, and responsibilities, and implement a structured approach
Identify risks, gaps, and improvement areas
Coordinate and drive IT initiatives (e.g., system implementations and upgrades)
Ensure that solutions meet legal requirements, industry standards, and internal guidelines
Coordinate suppliers and collaborate with the group's IT function
Contribute to strong information and IT security in both administrative and operational systems
We're Looking for You
Who has post-secondary education in IT, systems science, industrial economics, or equivalent, or has acquired equivalent knowledge through professional experience.
You have experience leading and driving work in areas such as IT coordination, system management, IT operations, or digital development. You are comfortable taking overall responsibility and creating structure in complex IT environments.
With a broad IT background, you know what it takes to make IT and digitalization work in practice. You have experience setting requirements for suppliers and/or internal IT functions.
It is a plus if you also have:
experience from water utilities, industry, energy companies, or other technical infrastructure
experience in IT security or information security work
experience developing IT strategy, roadmaps, or development plans
experience with system management models
experience working as an IT architect
You have strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
