Assignment Description We are seeking an IT Management Leader for an assignment focused on strengthening governance, leadership, and development of IT management at a public sector organization. The assignment involves leading and coordinating an overall IT management function. The role encompasses both strategic and operational components and involves close collaboration with the business, external vendors, and internal IT resources. The purpose is to ensure efficient, business-aligned, and sustainable IT delivery in the long term. As IT Management Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that the IT management function supports the organization's business objectives. You contribute to the development of IT governance and working methods, develop and manage IT management plans and roadmaps, and lead and coordinate IT management activities. The role also includes prioritizing and following up on changes, incidents, and improvement initiatives, as well as ensuring timely delivery with the right quality and in accordance with agreed costs. You serve as the interface between the business and IT, collaborate with external vendors, and ensure delivery according to agreements. You also coordinate internal IT resources, monitor objectives, KPIs, and SLAs, and report status, risks, and deviations to the steering committee. An important part of the assignment is to drive change and improvement initiatives within IT management. You lead and structure change initiatives, drive continuous improvement of processes, working methods, and governance, and ensure that changes are anchored within the business and among stakeholders. You will also identify improvement areas based on follow-up, analysis, and business needs, establish and further develop working methods for change management, and lead change work related to, for example, new systems and processes. The role also involves supporting managers and teams in change journeys, contributing to increased change maturity, and ensuring that changes are implemented with the right quality, risk management, and communication. Mandatory Requirements Minimum four (4) years of experience as an IT Management Leader or in an equivalent role. Experience leading change initiatives within IT operations and/or IT management in organizations with more than 200 employees. Experience working according to ITIL. Experience leading complex IT environments in an organization with more than 200 employees. Experience working with agile methodologies and transformation journeys. Experience in vendor management, ensuring that external and internal vendors deliver according to requirements and contribute to the organization's objectives. Experience is defined as documented practical work within the field with a duration of more than two (2) years and not older than five (5) years. Meritorious Qualifications Certification within ITIL. Certification in change management. Experience from the public sector or government agency with more than 500 employees. Experience establishing or further developing IT management models.
