About Västvärmlands LBC
Västvärmlands LBC AB is owned by approximately 50 haulage companies that together operate around 120 vehicles. We are a transport sales company with strong roots in western Värmland and employ 25 office staff at our locations in Arvika and Charlottenberg.
Our operations span three business areas: Construction & Infrastructure/Environment, Long-haul, Chips, Terminal & Warehouse, and Ballast & Quarries. The group has annual revenues of approximately 700 million kronor and provides transport and logistics services to businesses, public sector organizations, and private individuals.
Our culture is characterized by long-term thinking, stability, and commitment. You'll experience short decision-making paths, close collaboration, and an unpretentious, down-to-earth atmosphere. Sustainability is an integral part of our operations, and we are certified in environment, quality, occupational health, and traffic safety, as well as sustainability-certified according to Fair Transport.
Your Assignment
As IT & Digitalization Coordinator, you will be an important link between operational needs and technical capabilities. You will coordinate IT-related matters, drive development initiatives, and ensure that our systems and digital tools support operations in the best possible way.
The role may also encompass multiple companies within the group, with a focus on Västvärmlands LBC. You will work closely with management, employees, external IT partners, and system vendors, and have the opportunity to influence both the daily IT environment and the company's ongoing digital development.
We currently have an established digital environment with several mission-critical systems that are integrated with each other. This includes Hogia Mobilast for order and transport management, Hogia's finance and payroll systems, systems for scales, vehicle communication, warehousing, and collection and monitoring of emissions data. We also have our own server environment that is managed in close collaboration with our external IT partner.
These systems already provide important support for operations, but there are significant opportunities to continue developing integrations, processes, and usage. An important part of your task will therefore be to understand operational and customer needs, coordinate appropriate initiatives, and drive development forward. This could include, for example, using automation and AI to streamline processes, improve information flows, and in the long term develop work such as route optimization and scheduling.
The assignment is broad and combines long-term development with day-to-day support. You see the bigger picture, create structure, and translate operational needs into solutions that work in practice. When more specialized expertise is needed, we engage external consultants and vendors. Your role will then be to set requirements, coordinate, and ensure that solutions create real value for the operation.
Key aspects of the assignment will be to:
drive digitalization efforts and identify where automation, AI, and digital tools can create tangible value
maintain and develop the operation's systems, integrations, and digital information flows together with users and vendors
coordinate IT projects, requirements management, procurement, and upgrades together with external partners and system vendors
coordinate server environment, user accounts, permissions, and digital workplaces
be a first point of contact for IT questions and provide user support, guidance, and basic technical troubleshooting
plan introductions and internal training that strengthen employees' digital skills and use of AI tools
manage websites, social media, and internal communications, and contribute to improved processes and working methods.
This is not a narrowly specialized role. It suits you if you have broad digital understanding and enjoy switching between development, coordination, communication, and practical problem-solving.
We Are Looking for You If You...
are curious about technology and development, but most importantly interested in how digital solutions can make everyday life better for people and organizations. You take initiative, create structure, and drive matters forward, while being service-oriented and pedagogical when colleagues need support.
You may have worked with IT coordination, systems management, digitalization, IT support, or in another operationally-focused role. Your breadth and ability to create functioning wholes is more important than being a specialist in every area.
We Want You to Have:
• experience with IT coordination, digitalization work, systems management, or similar tasks
• good understanding of IT infrastructure, server environments, operational systems, and digital workplaces
• understanding of how operational systems, integrations, and information flows together can support and streamline operations
• ability to coordinate external vendors and drive activities and projects forward
• ability to analyze operational needs and translate them into practical and user-friendly solutions
• strong administrative skills and excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have experience with user support, systems administration, automation, AI solutions, or digital communications.
We place great emphasis on your personality and ability to build trust.
As a Person
To succeed and thrive in this role, you are:
• initiative-taking and driven with a genuine interest in development
• solution-oriented, responsible, and confident in prioritizing
• structured and thorough with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• pedagogical and skilled at explaining technology in simple terms
• relationship-building, communicative, and service-oriented
• independent while appreciating working together with others
• unpretentious and comfortable switching between strategic matters and practical daily tasks.
