About the Position
As our current IT Chief has chosen to move forward in their career, we are now seeking their successor.
Our operations are growing rapidly and we play a central role in the transformation of the power system and have great responsibility for critical societal infrastructure and the power system as a whole.
The transformation of the power system coincides with extensive reinvestment needs and power grid reinforcements, which in turn means a high rate of development and very high expectations from the external environment.
This means a strong focus on well-functioning IT systems dimensioned for increased electricity usage resulting from this transformation, as well as a transition to an agile working method, particularly within IT.
The role of IT Chief reports directly to the Director General and is part of Swedish grid operator's management group.
Responsibilities
The IT Chief's main responsibility is to strategically develop and manage IT operations at Swedish grid operator. As IT Chief, you will lead
the IT Division, which consists of several departments that in turn comprise several sections and units.
The role includes budget and operational responsibility for the division, as well as direct personnel responsibility for seven direct reports who are managers.
An organizational review of the agency is underway, which means the role may change.

You have a clear delivery and efficiency perspective and experience coordinating groups, working cross-functionally across the entire organization, and being a good point of reference for others. You ensure that colleagues and employees have the information required for us to reach our common goals as effectively as possible.
Last but not least, you create engagement and participation through your way of working.
Since our operations are security classified, this work requires that you have very high integrity and always act in a prudent manner.
Swedish grid operator is in strong growth and the electricity market is developing rapidly, so you must be able to adapt easily to changed circumstances but also have the ability to create confidence in change.

Education:
You should have an academic degree, preferably a degree in engineering or business administration, or equivalent competence acquired in another way.
You also have:
Many years of experience leading large IT operations in extensive change. Preferably in government administration or private business with full budget and results responsibility.
Reported directly to company or agency management.
Represented your organization and your field of operations to a board of directors, general meeting, or similar, or to the government through a department.
Represented your organization in relation to partner organizations, international relations, and labor organizations.
Many years of management experience leading through other managers, with trust and delegation with demonstrated good results.
Experience leading with focus on a good work environment and the organization's mission.
Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing circumstances.
Experience in procurement of goods and services with good knowledge of procurement legislation.
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious
Knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
Comfortable giving presentations at larger events.
Experience working as a manager in a government agency.
Experience with agile work within IT operations.
Good to Know
The position is located in Sundbyberg.
Travel occurs to a limited extent in this position.
