The Joint Management Administration consists of the activity areas Democracy & Service, Economics & Procurement, Working Life & Digital Technology, Strategic Community Planning, Rescue Service & Security, and the staff.
The administration is tasked with leading, supporting and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the Municipal Board. This is done by keeping the customer's needs in focus and by having a holistic perspective and common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the external environment and each other.
The IT Unit in Motala Municipality is responsible for the municipality's digital infrastructure that daily supports municipal operations and residents. We work together with the operations to develop, manage and secure a modern, stable and fit-for-purpose IT environment that creates operational value in everyday life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IT Architect, you have a key role in the municipality's development journey. You help create a cohesive, secure and long-term sustainable IT environment where technology and operations develop in interplay. You manage and apply IT and architecture principles and assess new solutions based on, among other things, operational value, integrations, information security, management and technical complexity.
You support projects, procurements, system owners and steering groups with architectural assessments and recommendations. An important part of the assignment is to counteract local customized solutions, promote standardization and contribute to target architecture and well-founded technical choices. You also ensure that operational needs, information, applications and technical platforms develop in a coherent and sustainable holistic perspective.
An important part of the assignment is to provide strategic and tactical IT support to the Social Affairs Administration. You work closely with operations to translate needs into sustainable digital solutions. You act as a unifying force between the Social Affairs Administration, the IT Unit, suppliers and other central functions.
You will have the opportunity to combine strategic architecture work with operational development in a role where your work provides concrete value for the municipality's residents and operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
• relevant academic education in, for example, systems/computer science, engineering education with a focus on IT/technology or other education that the employer deems equivalent,
• several years of experience as an IT architect or equivalent strategic IT role
• experience in operational development and digitalization
• experience in architecture work, for example developing target architecture, architecture principles, solution assessments or technical choices,
• very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We would also like to see that you have:
• good understanding of information security, data protection, integrations, system management and lifecycle management,
• experience from the public sector or municipal operations,
• experience in Enterprise Architecture, TOGAF or other architecture frameworks,
• experience in process-oriented working methods, for example ITIL.
