Interim Chief Executive for Government Agency in Gothenburg

Are you an experienced manager with a solid background in operations management, personnel responsibility, and budgeting? We are now seeking an interim chief executive for an exciting assignment within a government agency in Gothenburg. The assignment is for one year with a start in fall and involves on-site office work during regular office hours. About the Assignment In this role, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the operations, creating structure, and ensuring that work is conducted efficiently and with high quality. You will be part of the organization's management team and work closely with both employees and other internal functions. Your main responsibilities include: Lead, develop, and monitor operations Have personnel, operations, and budget responsibility Manage budget, financial monitoring, and resource planning Prioritize, plan, and allocate resources based on operational needs Ensure efficient working methods and high quality Actively participate in the organization's management team Contribute to the development and improvement of working methods and processes Support the organization in change and development work We are looking for someone with: Several years of experience as a manager with full personnel, operations, and budget responsibility Relevant experience leading knowledge-intensive or technically oriented operations Strong competence in change management and operations development Experience with personnel matters, financial monitoring, and resource planning Excellent communication skills and an ability to create structure and clarity Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written As a person, you are a confident and clear leader who thrives on taking responsibility, creating structure, and driving operations forward. You are accustomed to working strategically while having the ability to handle operational matters and create engagement among your employees.
