Interim Director of Building and Environmental Affairs with Full Management Responsibility

Assignment Description The client has an immediate need for an experienced interim director for the building and environmental operations. The interim director shall ensure stable management, lawful authority exercise, efficient case handling, and continued operational development within environmental law-based supervision and building permit and notification matters according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL). The assignment includes leading approximately 20 employees and responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and workplace environment. Placement: Upplands Bro, with the possibility of hybrid work by agreement. From the start of the assignment, you will take full management responsibility and quickly create a clear situational assessment of the operations. Deliverables include: Leading and distributing work within building and environmental operations, Ensuring prioritization, proper legal application, quality, and good service, Responsibility for supervision planning and control programs within relevant environmental, food safety, and tobacco areas, Ensuring efficient and lawful handling of building permit and notification matters according to PBL, Responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and workplace environment, Preparing and presenting matters to the political board, Cooperating internally and externally and representing the municipality in relevant networks, and Driving operational development, improved work methods, and strengthened collaboration between operational areas. Mandatory Requirements Relevant university degree Documented management experience with personnel, operations, finance, and workplace environment responsibility within the public sector Experience from politically governed organizations and authority exercise Good knowledge of PBL and the Environmental Code, as well as understanding of relevant food safety, alcohol, and tobacco legislation Experience with change and development work Category B driver's license required Your Application Does the role sound interesting and suitable?
