Åsele Municipality seeks a substitute operations manager/instrumental teacher at the Cultural School in Åsele Duties As an instrumental teacher at the Music School, you will conduct comprehensive music instruction and develop students' skills so that music becomes a meaningful and stimulating part of their lives. Åsele Cultural School offers education with a broad range of instruments, singing, orchestras and ensembles. We seek an instrumental teacher specializing in piano, guitar, drums, bass and singing. If you have a combination of multiple instruments, that is an advantage. Your students at the cultural school are primarily elementary school students. As an instrumental teacher, you teach students individually or in groups. Åsele Cultural School contributes to cultural life in the municipality through various collaborations, orchestras (Lucia and school closing), scenic music projects, etc. We also collaborate with other schools in the region, and as operations manager you will participate in meetings with other music and cultural schools in Västerbotten and develop collaboration across municipal boundaries. The Cultural School is under Recreation, Tourism & Culture. Qualifications We believe in the right competence in the right place. We seek someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications in music or has other education/merits in your instrument that the employer considers equivalent, combined with pedagogical training. It is an asset if you master multiple instruments or other cultural art forms. You are someone who enjoys working with children and young people and places students at the center. You have a positive approach and the ability to lead and organize your work so that students have a safe and inclusive learning environment. You like to take your own initiative and have a problem-solving perspective when meeting with students, parents and colleagues. You are curious about trying new things, developing your work and appreciate working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and other schools. We seek someone with structure and order in your work approach and the ability to adjust in your work and prioritize according to current conditions.
