Health Inspection conducts state supervision and control in the healthcare sector to ensure that everyone in Latvia receives quality and qualified healthcare, as well as a safe and healthy living environment. We are announcing a position competition for the Healthcare Department Healthcare Facilities Control Division Inspector position profession code 2422 07 civil service position for an indefinite period Position requirements: • Higher education in healthcare (physician, physician assistant, nurse); • At least one year of practical work experience in the healthcare sector; • Latvian language skills at an advanced level; • Good communication skills; • Category B driver's license, as job duties involve business travel in the institution's vehicle; • Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Civil Service Law. Main job duties: • Conduct supervision in the healthcare field, analyze healthcare processes, promoting patient-centered safe and quality healthcare service delivery, review submissions, complaints and provide responses in accordance with the institution's competence; • Consult clients on regulatory requirements, conduct inspections and controls, initiate and review administrative cases and make decisions; • Participate in preparing reports on findings from inspections, thereby helping to improve the healthcare system as a whole.
