Your main responsibilities: conduct inspections of compliance with fishing, angling, crayfish harvesting, and underwater hunting regulations in Latvian internal waters within the supervision territory; upon discovering a violation, document evidence and conduct an administrative violation procedure; conduct inspections of compliance with water resource use permit conditions at hydroelectric power stations (HES) within the supervision territory; input and maintain data on conducted inspections and their results; prepare documents, reports, and responses to applications and complaints within your area of responsibility. What we expect from you: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education (at least a bachelor's degree), preferably in environmental or legal sciences, but we will also consider applications with higher education in other fields; strong Microsoft Office skills; Category B driver's license and digital signature; advantage - knowledge of regulatory acts in the field of biological resource use in internal waters, as well as administrative violation procedures; advantage – recreational vessel master's certificate. Also important are the ability to work in a team and handle large volumes of information, make independent decisions within your competence, a strong sense of responsibility, and resilience to stress.
