The State Labor Inspectorate announces a competition for a State Labor Inspectorate Inspector position at the Valmiera Sector of the Vidzeme Regional STATE LABOR INSPECTORATE for a civil service official position
(one position; indefinite term; workplace – Purva Street 12 A, Valmiera, Valmieras Municipality, LV-4201)
The State Labor Inspectorate offers:

a monthly salary of €1,250 (before tax deductions) during the trial period and up to €1,420 (before tax deductions) after the trial period. The monthly salary is determined in accordance with the level of work performance, the job catalog classification established by the Cabinet of Ministers for state and municipal institution positions, and taking into account the corresponding monthly salary groups for the position, as well as professional qualifications and competencies;

Key responsibilities:
supervise and monitor compliance with labor law and occupational safety regulations in enterprises within the supervisory territory and promote compliance;
review administrative violation cases regarding breaches of labor law and occupational safety regulations in accordance with the Administrative Liability Law and decide on the imposition of administrative penalties, as well as monitor the proper and timely enforcement of penalty decisions;
review and respond to submissions, complaints, and suggestions from natural and legal persons in accordance with the Petition Law;
investigate occupational accidents;
provide advice to employers and employees on labor law and occupational safety regulation requirements.
Requirements for candidates:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (preference given to candidates with education in law or occupational safety);
desired practical experience and knowledge of labor legislation and occupational safety;
state language proficiency at an advanced level;
ability to work under conditions of high intensity;
excellent communication, planning, and monitoring skills;
good skills in using MS Office applications;
category B driving license and ability to drive a vehicle with manual transmission;

Candidates who obtained their education abroad must attach a document on the academic recognition of their education in Latvia.
