The Inspectorate for Health and Care (IVO) is in a development phase where our mission is expanding and placing increased demands on our oversight activities. To meet this, we are now strengthening our operations and seeking inspectors for Stockholm and Umeå. About the Job As an inspector, you will work with oversight of elderly care and activities under the LSS/SoL legislation. The work includes oversight of, among other things, special residential facilities, home care services, day activities, and housing with special services and other activities under LSS. The work involves planning, implementing, and following up on oversight activities. You work closely with your colleagues and contribute to identifying shortcomings, assessing the quality of operations, making decisions, and ensuring that individuals receiving support, care, and services have their rights fulfilled. Job Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct both announced and unannounced inspections, - Prepare oversight by gathering, reviewing, and compiling relevant documentation, - Conduct interviews with children and young people, adults, staff, relatives, service users, management, and board members in connection with inspections, - Analyze observations and assess the quality and regulatory compliance of operations, - Compile and analyze material gathered through various methods during inspections, - Document findings and prepare decision-making materials for determinations, - Participate in assessment meetings and present matters to decision-makers. IVO is an organization in development and over time your work area may change as IVO receives new assignments, priorities, and directives. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - A degree in social work or equivalent, or another degree that the agency deems relevant, - At least three years of current experience working in social services, - Current experience with public authority duties and administrative tasks, - Good knowledge of laws and regulations within the social services field, - Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, - A B-class driver's license. It is a merit if you have: - Experience working with oversight activities, - Experience working with elderly care and care for people with disabilities. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with colleagues with different competencies and perspectives. You have the ability to balance quality and productivity in an operation with high demands for legal certainty and accuracy. The role also requires that you are flexible and can adapt to changed working methods and conditions. Since the assignment is complex and sometimes challenging, you need to have good judgment, personal maturity, and a professional approach.
