Do you want to contribute to safety and security in a community-essential operation? Tranås Municipality is now seeking an operations chief and fire inspector with overall responsibility for fire prevention and rescue services. DUTIES As operations chief, you will have overall responsibility for fire prevention and rescue services in Tranås Municipality. Your main duties will include inspections according to the Act (2003:778) on Protection Against Accidents and the Act (2010:1011) on Flammable and Explosive Goods, as well as handling referral cases within the planning and construction process. You may also provide support to other authorities as an expert in building fire safety and offer advice to individual citizens in the municipality. Your participation in the unit's development process is expected. We have a flexible organization and you must be prepared to help with other tasks when needed. Based on your own interests, there is also an opportunity to adapt the scope of the position to some extent. On-call duty as an operations chief, primarily within Tranås Municipality, every fourth week is included in the position. The fire and rescue services in Jönköping County have very extensive and well-functioning collaboration both operatively and in planning, called Räddsam F. There are therefore good opportunities for those who wish to develop in their work to participate in the various working groups and projects being conducted in the county. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with fire command training, or alternatively other relevant training within the fire and rescue service sector where Rescue Leadership Level A/1 is the minimum requirement. Additional or other competencies in the field, such as fire engineering education, SMO training, Rescue Leadership B/2, inspection certification Level A or A/B, are of course meritorious. A Class B driver's license is required; Classes C and E are meritorious. The position is classified as security-sensitive, which means that a security clearance with background check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. The Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for fire safety issues, operational interventions, and protection against accidents.
