Our current Chief Procurement Officer is planning to embark on a lifelong retirement celebration, and now we are seeking an engaged and development-oriented Chief Procurement Officer who wants to lead our procurement unit and help ensure good deals for Kiruna's residents. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Chief Procurement Officer, you are responsible for the municipality's central procurement and purchasing function. You lead a team of four procurement specialists and one procurement and contract controller and have overall responsibility for developing, managing and quality assuring the municipality's work in procurement, purchasing and contract management. You play a key role in creating conditions for efficient, sustainable and business-like procurement that contributes to operations' goals and the municipality's long-term development. Job responsibilities: • Lead, distribute and develop work within the municipality's procurement function • Have personnel, work environment and operational responsibility for the unit • Be responsible for the municipality's strategic development within procurement and purchasing • Ensure that procurements are conducted legally, professionally and in accordance with applicable legislation • Provide support to managers and operations in strategic procurement and contract matters • Develop working methods, governance and processes within procurement • Drive work with category management, contract monitoring and procurement analysis • Represent the municipality in external contacts and collaboration forums Start date by agreement. The position is a permanent employment in combination with a fixed-term management contract. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who Has clear and confident leadership and the ability to create and maintain work joy, engagement, structure and development in your team. You are strategic, business-minded and have a good understanding of how a professional procurement function contributes to operational value and sound financial management.
