We are now seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager (Category Manager Segment) who wants to play an important role in our operations and help drive and develop our business forward. As a Strategic Procurement Manager (Category Manager Segment) with us, you will have overall responsibility for quality, development, management, and follow-up of category work within one of the segments—Asphalt, Material Supply, or Concrete—for both mobile machinery and fixed facilities in the Nordic region. You will work closely with Nordic machinery managers and site managers within asphalt, material supply, and concrete production, as well as in projects throughout the operations. An important part of your work will be finding new innovations, suppliers, cost savings, and developing the category and its strategy. A major focus will be creating productivity, cost savings, and ensuring a safe and cost-effective supply chain. Key Responsibilities: · Find new innovations, suppliers, and develop category strategy. · Ensure a safe, cost-effective, and quality-assured supply. · Create added value and savings through changed delivery and value chains. · Conduct supplier audits. · Drive strategic change and innovation with modified production methods. · Assortment and cost analyses. In your role, you will report to the Nordic Category Manager for Fixed Facilities, who is part of Nordic Procurement Management. The work location can be Malmö, Göteborg, Stockholm, or where Peab has a local office. The position involves travel 1-2 days per week within Sweden, the Nordic region, and Europe. To support your development, you will have a mentor in your reporting manager. We are looking for you who: · Have a civil or higher engineering degree, alternatively a qualified procurement qualification or other relevant education at higher education level or from a vocational college. · Have at least 3-5 years of experience as a strategic procurement manager, preferably in the manufacturing industry. · Are analytical, structured, and have strong communication skills. · Have excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. · Have an interest in product, innovation, and see opportunities. · Experience in international procurement and technical competence is a merit. · Are skilled at communicating and building relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the Nordic organization. · Create work and progress through your personal contribution together with production. As a person, you are engaged and goal-oriented, with good ability to act and leadership qualities. You are business-minded and social, structured and solution-oriented, as well as technically oriented and knowledgeable about the supply chain.
