As a Procurement and Sourcing Strategist, you will have a central role in developing and strengthening our procurement and sourcing work. Together with your colleague, you are responsible for ensuring cost-effective and sustainable procurement while developing our working methods, supplier collaborations, and contract strategies. This role has a particular focus on supplier follow-up and business development. You work closely with our suppliers to follow up on agreements, ensure that agreed terms are met, and identify opportunities for improvements, efficiencies, and increased business value. You drive dialogues, conduct negotiations, and build long-term relationships that create value for both the organization and our partners. You will also plan and implement procurement processes, provide support to the organization on procurement and contract matters, and contribute to developing processes and routines in this area. The role involves many contact points both internally and externally and offers great opportunities to influence how Varberg Energi approaches strategic procurement going forward. You will be part of the Business Support department and report to the HR Manager. Who Are You? We are looking for you with experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or business development, who thrives in the intersection of business, relationships, and structure. You have a higher education or university degree in, for example, procurement, law, or another relevant field. Perhaps you have worked in the public sector and thereby gained insight into regulations such as LOU or LUF – but you may equally well have built your expertise in the private sector or other industries. Experience in contract law is something we see as an advantage, but not a requirement. We believe that you appreciate doing business and creating long-term collaborations. You are skilled at building trust, have a knack for dialogue with suppliers, and dare to challenge established practices to find new, better solutions. You also have the ability to analyze contracts, costs, and business structures to identify improvement opportunities. Following up on suppliers delivering according to agreed terms regarding price, quality, and delivery times, as well as handling ongoing issues and changes, you see as a natural part of your work. As a person, you are proactive, communicative, and relationship-building. You are driven by creating results together with others and motivated by seeing the effects of well-executed procurement work over time. Experience from the energy sector is not a requirement; we also welcome you who have built your experience in other industries and are curious to learn more and develop within the energy sector.
