Personal assistants needed for a 12-year-old boy in Malmö We are seeking engaged and reliable personal assistants for a 12-year-old boy. The role suits you if you are responsible, attentive, and motivating – whether it comes to spending time with friends after school, engaging in activities like swimming, going into town, attending hockey matches, or simply relaxing at home. If you also share his interest in video games or following Malmö Redhawks, that's a great plus! As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of his everyday life. Your task is to provide the practical support he needs to be included, do things he enjoys, and live as independent and meaningful a life as possible. Safety, predictability, and respect for his autonomy are central to the work. About the Job As a personal assistant, you are the enabler who ensures he can live a life befitting a 12-year-old on his own terms. It's about being there as a reliable resource in the background so he can do what he wants with friends, at home, and in his free time. The work tasks involve practical support in all aspects of daily living: personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, supervision, and mobility assistance. Since he uses a wheelchair, manual lifting is part of the daily work. In this role, it is crucial that you create a stable structure around routines while also having good sensitivity to his autonomy. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is stable, engaged, and has a genuine interest in making a difference in another person's everyday life. The role requires you to be attentive and unpretentious, with understanding that you will be working in a young person's personal sphere. Previous experience in care or assistance is a plus, but your personality, your energy, and how you connect are what matter most. Qualifications and Characteristics: Good physical strength for manual lifting and mobility assistance Very good knowledge of Swedish and clear speech Ability to take initiative while respecting his own pace and space Calm, patient, and structured with routines Social and open to facilitating contact with friends and leisure activities Understand the importance of confidentiality, integrity, and safety A B-class driver's license is not required Working Hours and Employment Level Working hours are scheduled for afternoons after school until early evening on weekdays and daytime on weekends. During school holidays, working hours are from morning to early evening on weekdays. We are seeking both those interested in a permanent full-time position and those who want to work as a substitute.
