Then we have the job for you! About us at RISE Measurement Technology We are now seeking an engineer in measurement technology to strengthen our pressure and vacuum group. We are a team of 22 employees consisting of a mix of engineers and researchers. The position is located in Borås where we have our laboratory operations. RISE's Measurement Technology department is part of Sweden's National Metrology Institute (NMI) and brings together leading experts in measurement technology. We solve measurement technology challenges across society and coordinate measurement technology development with other countries. Through our national measurement facilities, we develop and maintain traceability for a large number of physical quantities. We develop new measurement methods in collaboration with academia, industry, and the rest of society, from high-voltage measurement and sensors in autonomous vehicles to geometric assurance in production and health measurement. This role is positioned within the Mechanics and Dynamics unit of the Measurement Technology department. About the role The work is carried out within the unit for mechanical and dynamic properties with a focus on pressure and vacuum in collaboration with other parts of RISE. In your role as an engineer with us, your main responsibilities will consist of: • Performing customer assignments through calibration and evaluation • Developing and maintaining measurement systems in our laboratories • Streamlining and automating instruments and processes • Participating in research projects and further developing our operations with a focus on our customers' needs At RISE, you will have access to a strong innovation infrastructure and your colleagues' extensive expertise across virtually all technical areas. The position involves technical development work and project management and offers excellent opportunities to develop professionally and competence-wise within a broad technical field. To succeed in this role, you have a strong drive and find it easy to communicate and collaborate. You enjoy taking on a leading role and responsibility, while also being comfortable working both independently and with others. You have good technical understanding and the ability to find commercially viable solutions. You should be practical-minded but also have theoretical understanding of various technically complex systems. Furthermore, you have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas. You are driven by curiosity, enjoy challenges, and have the ability to inspire those around you. Requirements • Academic degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or similar • Experience with measurement technology or experimental work, such as measurement, testing, calibration, or evaluation of technical systems • Good ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions • Ability to take initiative, drive work forward, and contribute constructively in collaborations • Good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written Merits • Experience within pressure, vacuum • Experience and/or training in measurement technology • Knowledge of quality-focused work and process development within electronics, digitalization, or programming • Programming or automation experience, for example in Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent, to streamline measurements and processes Are we a good match?
