To the Property and Street Office's development unit, we are now seeking an engineer to complement the unit's experienced expertise as a port engineer, port strategist, and others. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the port's development issues and ensure that future goals are realized.
Duties
In your role as an engineer at Malmö Port, you will work with project design, procurement, mass handling matters, and stormwater issues, among other things. Furthermore, you will also handle environmental permits and location issues, as well as conduct financial follow-ups. In this role, you will collaborate with, among others, a mass coordinator, lawyer, development engineer, representative, and others.
A central part of the position will be to interact with external actors and stakeholders, as well as represent the city's interests in relation to the port operator CMP (Copenhagen Malmö Port AB). Together with this operator, you will drive and monitor investments made in the port and plan for handover to operations. You are responsible for driving and following up projects against decided goals regarding time, resources, and finances. In this role, you may also participate in procurement of consulting services and contracts, develop assignment descriptions, and lead the work with design through to complete request documentation. For planning and monitoring of projects, the project support system Antura is used.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who hold a civil or university engineering degree of at least 180 hp with a focus on road and water, building technology, or possibly another focus that we assess as equivalently qualifying for the position.
You have worked for at least three years with buildings, facilities, or infrastructure. It is meritorious if you master CAD, and if you have worked with port or infrastructure projects, or alternatively have directed your thesis work toward infrastructure.
You are a confident and stable person who enjoys working together with other people. You are thorough and strive to maintain high quality in your work. Furthermore, you have creative ability and enjoy sharing ideas. You are also open to testing new approaches in your work.
You must have excellent command of Swedish and good command of English in speech and writing. A good understanding of Danish is meritorious.
About the Workplace
The development unit consists of about 12 employees who together lead, drive, and develop the office's work with the city's real estate ownership, which includes working strategically through acquisition and sale of properties so that land ownership in the long term and sustainably matches the city's needs. The unit is also responsible for ownership, management, operations, and development of Malmö's commercial port and its infrastructure, which includes the role as landlord in relation to the city's port operator. Other responsibilities that fall on the unit include, among others, responsibility for the city's land allocation policy. The development unit is one of five units in the Property and Development Division at the Property and Street Office.
