About the Role
Do you want to work with advanced technology in an operation of societal importance that faces extensive modernization and development?
To Ringhals' engineering department, we are now looking for a Control and Instrumentation Engineer who wants to be part of developing, analyzing, and improving our control systems. In this role, you will combine technical problem-solving, modeling, and analysis with close support to both operations and maintenance, as well as participation in various plant development projects.
About the Job
The I&C Analysis unit works within control and instrumentation, and is tasked with contributing technical expertise in this field. The role requires good technical understanding and involves designing new control systems, addressing technical questions, analyzing events, and providing qualified support in both line work and project activities. The work also includes interpreting and applying relevant regulations, standards, and requirements in the field.
An important part of the work is creating understanding of the plant through modeling and simulation. By building models and analyzing various events, a foundation is created for technical assessments, further development of control systems, and support to operations in both ongoing production and future modernization projects.
Examples of Work Tasks
Design and further develop control systems based on operational needs and technical requirements
Analyze technical questions related to the plant's function, for example, system or component behavior in connection with transients
Build models and work with simulation to create understanding of the plant and support technical decisions
Participate in investigations, event analyses, and analytical work related to operations, plant development, and component replacements
Support the line in technical matters and participate in project activities
Requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
A higher education or civil engineering degree in a relevant technical field, such as electrical engineering, automation, control engineering, or engineering physics
Several years of relevant professional experience in control systems, technical analysis, modeling, simulation, or investigative work
Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, and good knowledge of English
It is advantageous if you have:
Experience working in project activities
Experience from process industry, nuclear power, or other complex technical operations
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are someone who finds it easy to collaborate and build good relationships, since the work takes place in a complex operation with many dependencies on other professions and functions. You have strong analytical abilities and enjoy delving into technical questions that require careful analysis and understanding of the bigger picture.
