JOB DUTIES Are you an experienced IT specialist with a focus on databases and want to contribute to increased societal benefit? Do you want to be part of developing our PostgreSQL environment from an infrastructure perspective? We are now looking for you to join our IT department. Here you will become part of the IT Production unit; we are approximately 50 employees working in teams. Here you work with engaged colleagues who share their knowledge, support each other, and contribute to a positive team spirit. Your main duties Your main duties will include development, management, and further development of the Swedish Companies Registration Office's database platforms. You will also participate in various assignments and investigations, with tasks concerning setup/configuration of technical environments. Additionally, you will work with planning deployments, troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing the product area's components. As we face a system renewal, your work will involve working with new and exciting technical solutions. The role offers the opportunity to familiarize yourself with and help shape our PostgreSQL environment for larger volumes and to ensure that the environment meets the Swedish Companies Registration Office's very high security requirements. Our technology The Swedish Companies Registration Office's virtualized environment is built on VMware and servers are based on Suse Linux Enterprise Server and Windows Server. Our programming language is Java and our scripting languages are Bash, Python, and Perl. QUALIFICATIONS We need someone who is structured and can organize and plan your work well while also being creative and enjoying finding new improvement and approach methods. You have drive and a willingness to learn the field, seek development opportunities, and stay updated within your specialist area. In your role, it is important that you collaborate well with others and listen and communicate constructively. You are also analytical and have good problem-solving skills and take own initiatives where you see there is a need. You also have: • a current academic degree in IT or other education or work experience that we can assess as equivalent within the database field • approximately 5 years of experience within the database field • an ability to express yourself fluently in both speech and writing in both Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have education in and/or experience with any of the following areas: • database field in large complex environments • PostgreSQL • Oracle • script programming • Linux • infrastructure security For us, it is important that you are the right person who wants to develop with us.
