Infrastructure Engineer – Platform Team We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who wants to be part of building, developing, and maintaining a modern and robust infrastructure platform in a larger enterprise environment. You'll become a central part of the Platform Team and work with both traditional datacenter infrastructure and modern hybrid solutions. This role suits you if you have broad and deep technical understanding of infrastructure and enjoy combining hands-on technology, automation, migration, and technical improvement work. About the Role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible together with the team for ensuring a stable, secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure platform that creates the right conditions for the organization's development and application teams. You will, among other things: Design, implement, and maintain server, virtualization, and network infrastructure Ensure high availability, performance, and capacity Participate in and drive migrations between datacenters and from datacenter to cloud Automate operations, deployment, and lifecycle management of the infrastructure Work actively with security, compliance, and standardization Optimize virtual environments, hosts, and resources Contribute to the development of the platform's technical capabilities Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, security teams, application teams, and other technical specialists We're Looking for You With Experience In Server & Compute Windows Server Red Hat Linux Oracle Solaris Physical and virtual server environments Scaling, capacity planning, and lifecycle management Installation and administration of Oracle SPARC servers Virtualization VMware vSphere Microsoft Hyper-V and/or KVM Cluster solutions and High Availability VM lifecycle management and host configuration Resource and performance optimization Migrations such as P2V, datacenter-to-datacenter, and datacenter-to-cloud Networking Routing and switching VLAN, VPN, and firewall architecture Troubleshooting network, performance, and security issues Meritorious We'd also like to see that you have experience with: Microsoft Azure Hybrid cloud Landing Zones and Cloud Governance Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python Docker and Kubernetes We Believe You Have Several years of experience with advanced IT infrastructure Experience from larger enterprise and datacenter environments Good understanding of IT security, compliance, and standardization Experience with automation and scripting Ability to work both operationally and more strategically with platform development Only the Best for the Best – Our Personnel Philosophy Castra is a consulting group specializing in IT and Management.
