ArkivIT is one of Sweden's leading consulting firms in digital archive and information management – with specialized expertise in information security, data protection, e-archives, and records and document management. Since our founding in 2010, we have expanded our service offerings and built a team of engaged and knowledgeable consultants working with organizations throughout the country. Our strength lies in the combination of deep technical expertise, humility, and results-focused delivery – and our goal is to contribute to safe, structured, and sustainable information management in both the public and private sectors.
Are you an IT security specialist who wants to work broadly with security matters?
At ArkivIT, you'll work in an experienced team where your expertise is valued and developed. We're looking for someone who wants to work with IT security in a broader context – where technology, information security, and physical security together create sustainable and reliable solutions.
You'll have the freedom to shape your day while contributing to public benefit in some of Sweden's most important operations.
About the Role
As an IT security consultant, you'll work closely with our clients' operations and are often a key person in their security efforts. You'll operate at the intersection of technology and business, helping to create structured and business-anchored IT security work.
The role involves supporting both operations and projects in ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal governance documents. You'll function as an advisor, coordinator, and subject matter expert in IT security, driving the work forward – both strategically and operationally.
Example responsibilities:
Support operations and project management in ensuring process compliance in IT security work
Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, standards, and internal governance documents
Identify, analyze, and report risks, vulnerabilities, and deviations
Lead and structure work where you collaborate with the business to identify risks, threats, and weaknesses in systems or processes
Develop documentation, decision-making materials, and governance information
Set IT security requirements in development, change, and operations
Act as advisor and subject matter expert in IT and information security
Coordinate security matters with other parts of the organization
Participate in meetings, consultations, and represent the security function in the organization
Contribute to LIS development from a technical perspective
Propose and drive security improvements
Support incident management and continuity work
Qualifications
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in IT security work
Experience applying relevant frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or Open Security Architecture
Experience with requirements setting and follow-up in IT security
Experience with IT security work in project and/or operations environments
Good understanding of the interaction between IT security and information security
Fluent Swedish and good English, spoken and written
Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
Meritorious:
Experience with similar work in the public sector
Experience with OT environments (e.g., ICS/SCADA)
Experience with established governance models (e.g., pm3)
Knowledge of data protection and GDPR from a technical perspective
Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH)
Experience in consulting roles and/or project management
Knowledge of physical security and its connection to IT and information security
Personal Qualities
We're looking for someone who is analytical, organized, and confident in their expertise. You have a holistic perspective on security and understand how technology, information, and business are interconnected.
You're accustomed to driving your work forward, taking responsibility, and communicating complex matters in a clear and educational manner. You thrive in an advisory role and enjoy collaborating – both with colleagues and clients – to create real impact.
Our Offer
At ArkivIT, you'll get a flexible and developmental work environment where you can influence your day. We offer:
Continuous professional development
An open and learning-oriented culture
Experienced and engaged colleagues
Social activities and team events
Your manager Gustav uses coaching leadership and believes in responsibility with freedom, where you get both support and space to develop.
