The Digitalization and Information Security Department consists of 12 employees who together drive, support, and develop work on digitalization and information security within MittSverige Vatten & Avfall. How You Contribute as Information Security Officer and Data Protection Coordinator As Information Security Officer and Data Protection Coordinator, you have a central role in leading and coordinating the company's work on information security and data protection. You work broadly with administrative, physical, and IT-related security and ensure that the work is conducted proactively, structurally, and efficiently based on the organization's objectives and governing documents. You work closely with the IT Manager and Security Chief with many contact points throughout the organization. The role also involves collaboration with owner municipalities, authorities, other water and wastewater utilities, and relevant networks. An important part of the assignment is to monitor developments in the field, track external developments and regulations, and identify and analyze threats and risks. You contribute to translating these insights into concrete measures and improvements in operations. You will also work to strengthen the organization's knowledge and preparedness through training and exercises, as well as conduct internal audits and controls to monitor and develop security work. Your work tasks also include: supporting, guiding, and advising the organization within your area of responsibility ensuring that current and appropriate governing documents exist for information security and data protection communicating and following up on governing documents and ensuring they remain current contributing to ensuring the organization's competence in relevant laws, regulations, and requirements being the reporting officer for incidents within your area of responsibility serving as a substitute for the Security Manager in the company's crisis management group according to the crisis management plan Your Competence and Experience We seek someone with academic qualifications that the employer considers relevant for the position, or alternatively other education and work experience in the field. You have current experience with information security and data protection. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing as well as good computer skills. You dare to act independently and take initiative within your area of responsibility, while recognizing the value of collaboration and anchoring decisions with others when needed. The role involves many contact points, which requires good teamwork abilities and active work in building and maintaining good relationships.
