The Data and Analytics business area should be a catalyst for using data as a strategic resource and supporting solutions that promote business goals at all levels – nationally, regionally, and locally. We are now looking for an information architect who wants to contribute to creating a more cohesive, information-driven, and data-driven organization within Västra Götalandsregionen. Your assignment In the role of information architect, you will work with information mapping, concept and information modeling, information governance, and development of shared information structures. You will, among other things: Map and analyze how information is created, used, changed, shared, and stored in the organization Support business units in creating structure and order in their information management Educate and guide colleagues and business representatives and hold presentations, workshops, and other knowledge-enhancing activities. An important part of the role is being able to visualize complex information and its relationships in a way that creates understanding and facilitates decision-making. Therefore, you need to be able to move between strategic questions and detailed analysis. Information architecture is an important link between business and IT. You will therefore work closely with other architecture roles, especially domain architects, business architects, and solution architects, but also with information specialists, development managers, data and IT specialists, and representatives from the business. You will, for example, be able to work with: Information mapping, information flows, concept modeling, and information modeling Information governance and data governance Information architecture as support for business and IT development Shared information models for primary use, meaning information used directly in business applications, for example as part of daily work within healthcare and treatment, as well as secondary data use, where data is reused for, for example, analysis, monitoring, research, AI, quality improvement, and business planning Interoperability and information exchange Standardization and information models within healthcare We use the architecture framework Varvet, which is based on TOGAF, and document the architecture in Orbus. To succeed in the role, you need: Relevant university education and at least five years of previous experience working in information architecture, business architecture, data architecture, or other related architecture role in a larger organization. We also see that you have: Experience with information architecture and information management Good understanding of notations and frameworks such as UML, BPMN, and ArchiMate Good communication skills and experience explaining complex relationships to different audiences Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have experience with: Information architecture, for example as an IT architect, in large and complex organizations, such as government agencies, regions, or other public organizations Establishing and maintaining Master Data Management (MDM) Establishing information governance and data governance, for example with support from DAMA-DMBOK International standards and information models such as openEHR, FHIR, SNOMED CT, and OMOP We are looking for someone who is responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented, with high integrity and initiative.
