About the Role and Your Responsibilities
As a senior information security specialist, you will work systematically to support the organization in adopting a risk-based approach from a cybersecurity perspective. The role involves leading and driving change, taking responsibility for smaller projects, and alternating between strategic development and operational work. You will operate in a complex environment where risk management, regulatory compliance, and organizational needs must be balanced to create effective and robust information management.
The work largely consists of supporting the organization in conducting risk and GAP analyses, communicating overarching cybersecurity requirements, holding workshops, and leading and driving change in the cybersecurity area. Designing and contributing to internal policies and processes to protect information is also part of your responsibilities. The role requires you to stay updated on new threats, vulnerabilities, and legislation affecting information security. Information security work is conducted according to ISO 27001 standard and we are subject to the cybersecurity law.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience working with information security.
You must have strong knowledge of and experience with the following:
- Risk analyses and evaluation of these
- GAP analyses and follow-up of these
- Change and project management related to information security
- Development of governing documents within information security
- Procurement work from an information security perspective
- ISO 27001 standard
- Information security work related to the cybersecurity law
It is a plus if you also have experience with:
- Public sector operations
- The cybersecurity law and the Data Protection Regulation
To succeed in this role, you need to thrive working with others in a results-focused environment where delivering high quality is a clear objective. At the same time, you have the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage your work independently. You take initiative, follow up, and demonstrate both curiosity and drive in your processes. You feel comfortable leading change and working in project form within the information security field.
You have strong knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, and you readily absorb information and technical literature in English within the field.
You have university education or other post-secondary education combined with current and relevant experience in the information security field.

The Unit for Information Security and Data Protection has an exciting mission! Our work ranges from regulatory compliance to organizational development and encompasses the entire municipality organization and all its operational areas. The unit's mission is to harmonize the municipality's information and data protection efforts, create clearer direction, and drive our joint efforts forward based on the organization's collective ambitions regarding digitalization. The work group consists of a CISO, data protection lawyer, and information security and data protection specialists who together are responsible for establishing common working methods and ensuring coordinated support for all the municipality's operations.
