Systematic information quality work is a function tasked with ensuring that the Migration Agency's information in the central foreigners database (CUD) is accurate. The function is located within the information management unit and consists of information maintenance staff as well as information and data quality experts. We are now seeking to strengthen our team with additional information and data quality experts. Read more about what it's like to work with IT at our agency here: About the Migration Agency - Work with IT What do you do as an information and data quality expert with us? The assignment is to work together with colleagues and sometimes independently identify and implement the measures required to improve information quality in CUD—that is, to ensure that database records reflect the essence of decisions made, the course of events in our cases, and enable statistical presentation of this data. This means you will work with various tasks: - Lead and conduct major correction work on incorrect information. - Analyze root causes of data errors and propose measures for other parts of the agency. - Participate in the digitalization and development division's (DUA) development work from an information quality perspective. - Identify and help obtain data sets when other parts of the agency conduct correction work. - Work with quality-assuring datasets when there is a need from other parts of DUA. - Conduct corrections in complex cases. - Contribute your expertise regarding information quality issues to various parts of the organization. Who are you? You are a good representative of the Migration Agency and DUA. You have a respectful and unpretentious approach and demeanor both internally and externally. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work independently in an efficient manner, and you set and maintain deadlines. An important quality is the willingness and ability to share your expertise. You who are applying have - Academic education (minimum 120 credits) in a relevant field or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position - Current experience with administrative legal case handling. - Experience troubleshooting registrations within case management. It is advantageous if you have - Knowledge of the connections between the Migration Agency's case handling and how it is expressed as data/information in the central foreigners database. - Experience and interest in educating the organization within the field. - Experience identifying and formulating development needs within public administration. - Many years of experience with the Migration Agency's case handling. - In-depth knowledge of registrations in one or more of the following areas: - The residence permit process - Residence permit decisions on various grounds and revocation of permits. - The citizenship process - Benefits/allowances. Information - Placement location: The position is placed at one of the Migration Agency's main offices: Norrköping, Stockholm, Malmö, or Gothenburg. - Employment: Permanent employment (a six-month probationary period may apply). - Start date: By agreement. - Salary: We apply individual salary setting. - Working hours: Office hours with flexibility.
