Latvijas Nacionālais dabas muzejs (Registration No. 90000027926) invites an IT specialist to join our team Key Responsibilities: Ensure user work environment functionality (Install computer equipment, diagnose and resolve issues. Install, update software and troubleshoot problems. Provide support and consultation to users); Manage the installation, configuration, regular maintenance, and troubleshooting of information and communication technology (ICT) equipment and audiovisual equipment for exhibitions and displays, as well as the maintenance, installation, and configuration of other ICT equipment (printers, IP cameras, etc.); Ensure server and data network operation and service continuity; Participate in IT development planning; Participate in new service implementation and service development and deployment, including independently. Required Skills and Knowledge: Higher or specialized education in IT, computer science, engineering, or related fields, or ongoing studies in these areas; At least 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft operating system workstations; At least 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux workstations; Experience in workstation management and maintenance using remote and centralized tools (e.g., group policies, WSUS, PowerShell); Experience configuring data network switching equipment (VLAN, port configuration) and the ability to analyze and resolve network performance issues will be considered an advantage; Experience in Microsoft Windows/Linux server administration will be considered an advantage; Experience and knowledge working with virtualization platforms will be considered an advantage; Experience addressing security issues and responding to security incidents will be considered an advantage; Experience working with Linux web service servers will be considered an advantage (Apache, Nginx); Experience working with content management systems will be considered an advantage (Drupal, WordPress). If You Have: Precision and ability to concentrate. High sense of responsibility. Ability to plan your work and prioritize tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Latvian (minimum C1 level) (except persons who obtained basic, secondary, or higher education in accredited education programs in Latvian) and English (minimum B1 level) language knowledge for performing job duties and effective professional development in the information and communication technology field.
