as a Senior Information Systems Administrator
in the Information Technology Department of the Legal and Administrative Management Department
(one full-time position for a fixed term until May 31, 2029)

Main job responsibilities:
manage the technical environment development, configuration, and maintenance of the digital platform "System of Professional Qualifications";
review, evaluate, and provide feedback on the development of system software requirements specification documentation, taking into account requirements established in regulatory acts;
develop and maintain current documentation (administrator manual, instructions, etc.) on the technical solutions for the operation of the managed solution or information system (including data flows, technical architecture, affected resources);
create, configure, and maintain virtualization environment (in "Nutanix" environment);
manage and configure server operating systems and software;
analyze client requests and situations related to system mutual integrity and connection with other information systems, including applications or state registers, and prepare and submit recommendations to the manager on improving application performance and security-related issues;
within the scope of your competence, collaborate with solution and information system developers and monitor compliance with contractual obligations, prepare recommendations for improving the information system;
test information system versions and compile information on test results;
monitor and analyze compliance with information system security issues, including ensuring cooperation with the VIAA cybersecurity manager.
Requirements for candidates:
higher academic education or second-level professional higher education in information and communication technologies;
experience in information systems maintenance;
experience in software development supervision and IS integration issues;
experience and knowledge in server virtualization and configuration;
knowledge of programming languages, system integration (system compatibility), IT project implementation methodologies, knowledge of IT solution quality control;
analytical thinking – understanding problems and situations by identifying cause-and-effect relationships, and the ability to draw appropriate conclusions;
ability to systematize, skill in prioritizing and preparing a plan. Ability to identify chains of causality and think several steps ahead;
ability to logically argue a position, systematize by causes and significance;
cooperation and effective communication skills;
skill to work with large volumes of information, analyze and systematize it;
fluent Latvian language skills.
