Information Security Manager

National Armed Forces Support Command of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia (Reg. No. 90001259776) NBS Staff Battalion invites applications for Information Security MANAGER (profession code 1330 09) Requirements for applicants: 1. higher education (bachelor's degree) or first-cycle higher education (sixth-level professional qualification) in information and communication technologies, engineering sciences and technologies, or a related field of study; 2. professional knowledge and skills: at least three years of professional work experience as an information systems security specialist, systems analyst, or equivalent position, ensuring the operation of medium or large information systems, or experience in developing information security documentation (security policies, access management, incident response plans, risk assessments, etc.); knowledge in information security and cybersecurity, information technology standards, and regulatory requirements; ability to prepare technical documentation, analyze requirements, and apply systems analysis and risk assessment methodologies; good technical English language skills in the field of information technology; analytical thinking, high sense of responsibility, precision, and ability to independently make well-reasoned decisions. Job responsibilities: improve information systems security solutions for the National Armed Forces information systems; assess information systems security risks, provide advice on critical risks and their impact on information systems; ensure information systems compliance with regulatory requirements and information security standards; analyze information systems security risks and incidents, identify their causes, and develop proposals for security improvements; maintain and improve information systems business continuity plans; participate in information systems functionality and security testing and maintenance; provide support in preventing IT security incidents or coordinate their resolution in cooperation with NBS structural units; monitor current trends in information and cybersecurity, assess their impact on NBS information systems, and provide proposals for security improvements.
