invites you to participate in an open competition for the position of
Director of Alojas Preschool Education Institution "Auseklītis" for an indefinite period
Required education and skills for candidates:
· Education meeting the requirements specified in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding the required education and professional qualifications for educators and the procedure for professional development;
· At least three years of work experience in the field of education or educational management;
· Experience in managing a preschool education institution will be considered an advantage;
· State language proficiency at the highest level in accordance with the State Language Law requirements and proficiency in at least one official EU language to the extent necessary for professional activities;
· Knowledge of regulatory acts governing the activities of general education institutions;
· Computer skills (MS Office programs);
· Ability to prepare and format documents and knowledge of education institution funding issues;
· Motor vehicle driver's license (Category B);
· Ability to express and defend opinions, make independent decisions, work in a team, and work under conditions of increased intensity.
Main duties of the position:
· Ensure compliance with regulatory acts governing the operation of the preschool education institution, the institution's regulations, decisions of Limbažu novada dome, legal acts and methodological recommendations issued by Limbažu novada Izglītības pārvalde;
· Ensure effective and rational use of intellectual, financial, and material resources of the preschool education institution;
· Ensure preparation, approval, and implementation of documents regulating internal order of the preschool education institution, ensure compliance with the institution's working hours;
· Prepare and submit the preschool education institution's budget request, conclude necessary economic contracts within the approved budget;
· Lead the preschool education institution and the activities of its employees; in accordance with requirements of regulatory acts governing the education field in the Republic of Latvia, ensure the institution has appropriately qualified educators and employees;
· In accordance with Labor Law provisions, hire and dismiss employees of the preschool education institution, determine employees' job duties, rights, and level of responsibility; prepare employee job descriptions, evaluate employee work quality; establish employee remuneration in accordance with applicable regulatory acts;
· Ensure development, licensing, and implementation of educational programs;
· Organize and ensure maintenance and management of real property assigned to the preschool education institution.

· A motivation letter (up to 1 A4 page);
· A vision for the development of the preschool education institution (up to 2 A4 pages);
· The candidate may submit copies of documents certifying additional training relevant to the performance of job duties and documents certifying foreign language proficiency;
· A certificate (see Attachment No. 1).
