The Correctional Facilities Administration is a state administration institution under the Ministry of Justice that implements state policy in the field of detention as a security measure and imprisonment as a criminal penalty.
An official is a person with appropriate professional education, qualifications, and special service rank who has taken an oath and serves in the Administration. The rights and duties of officials are determined by the Correctional Facilities Administration Law and the Service Career Law for officials with special service ranks in institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Correctional Facilities Administration.

Requirements for candidates:
Compliance with requirements established in the Service Career Law for officials with special service ranks in institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Correctional Facilities Administration:
Larvia citizen;
Age between 18 and 50 years;
At least a first-level professional higher education;
Latvian language knowledge at level C, stage 2;
Physical fitness complies with requirements established by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Officials with Special Service Ranks in institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Correctional Facilities Administration");
Health condition and psychological characteristics comply with requirements established by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on health condition and psychological characteristics required for officials with special service ranks in institutions of the Ministry of Interior and the Correctional Facilities Administration and candidates for official positions, and the procedure for checking health condition and psychological characteristics");
Has not been convicted of intentional criminal offences – regardless of deletion or removal of conviction record;
Has not been sentenced for intentional criminal offence with exemption from punishment;
Has not been prosecuted for committing an intentional criminal offence, except in cases where the official has been prosecuted but the criminal proceedings against them have been terminated on rehabilitative grounds;
Has not been declared incapable in the manner established by law;
Has not been dismissed from service in the Ministry of Interior system or the Correctional Facilities Administration because a disciplinary penalty of dismissal from service was applied;
Good computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel);
Ability to plan and organize work, execute assigned tasks in priority order;
Good communication skills, high psychological resilience;
Ability to work both in a team and individually;
High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, ability to work in high-intensity conditions.
Duties:
Conduct individual resocialization work with convicted persons by developing and implementing resocialization plans, maintaining resocialization files, providing consultations, and organizing resocialization, social rehabilitation, and family relationship strengthening activities;
Prepare and administer documentation related to convicted persons' sentence execution, regime changes, conditional early release, pardons, reprimands, disciplinary sanctions, reviews, and information entry in the Prisoner Information System;
Participate in assessment of convicted persons and represent the institution by preparing opinions and information, participating in commissions, inter-institutional meetings, and, if necessary, representing the correctional facility in court;
Ensure supervision of convicted persons and compliance with internal order by conducting preventive and control measures, monitoring resocialization activities, escorting prisoners, and participating in searches and roll calls;
Cooperate with correctional facility structural units and external institutions, provide suggestions for improving work and resocialization processes, inform convicted persons of their rights and duties, and promote a safe and effective resocialization environment.

Annual paid leave of 30 calendar days, after every five calendar years of service, the annual paid leave is extended by three calendar days;

Supplementary leave of three working days if three or more children under 18 years of age or a child with disability is in the person's care;
