Job Responsibilities: Update and develop an internal control system in compliance with NILLTPFN law, International and Latvian Republic national sanctions law, and other external regulatory requirements, including policies, procedures, instructions, and other internal regulatory acts, as well as ensure necessary decision-making; Ensure regular evaluation of the effectiveness of the internal control system for NILLTPFN and sanctions compliance, review processes, and conduct risk assessments; Plan, manage, and oversee the daily work of the NILLTPFN department, performing effective task allocation, conducting quality control, and evaluating and developing department staff competencies; Lead the implementation of a new NILLTPFN IT system; Ensure the development of NILLTPFN and sanctions compliance training materials for customer service structural units and test employee knowledge; Organize and promote cooperation with the Bank of Latvia, Financial Intelligence Unit, and other supervisory authorities within the scope of responsibility; Organize cooperation and provide necessary information to internal audit and independent external audit providers. Requirements for Candidates: Higher education in finance, business, law, or a related field; At least 5 (five) years of NILLTPFN work experience, as well as experience managing a structural unit, team, or large projects; Excellent knowledge of NILLTPFN and sanctions regulatory acts, as well as international best practices. A document confirming expert-level knowledge in NILLTPFN (ACAMS or equivalent certification) will be considered an advantage; Ability to work independently, evaluate situations, set priorities, make decisions, and take responsibility for decisions made; Excellent presentation and communication skills; Very good knowledge of Latvian language (not lower than C1 level) and good knowledge of English (C1 level) for cooperation with service providers and partners in Latvia and abroad / for working with professional documentation in English.
