Grader Operator

The Traffic and Parking Department is now seeking a self-motivated grader operator. The position is permanent, full-time (100%). Job Responsibilities Your tasks will include maintaining the municipality's road network with a grader during all seasons, both summer and winter. The position also includes being on-call for snow and ice management, as well as performing other work related to the operation and maintenance of the municipality's infrastructure. Qualifications We are looking for someone with appropriate machine operator training at the upper secondary school level or equivalent experience that the employer deems sufficient. A valid operator's license for a grader and loader is required. The following competencies are considered advantageous: "Work on Road" - APV 1.1, 1.2 Experience in snow and ice management Class C driver's license As a person, you are quality-conscious, willing to help in other professional areas, and enjoy taking personal initiative in your work. For certain positions, a certificate from the police's suspicion and penalty register is required. We particularly welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sámi administrative areas. In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security classifications, so security vetting may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
