Hydraulic Designer
– develop machines that are actually used
There are design jobs where you draw and there are jobs where you see your solutions built, tested and used in reality. With us at Scandinavian Pale Driving, you do the latter.
We build machines for drilling, piling and foundation work. Heavy, specialized and often completely custom-made solutions. Here it's not enough that something works in CAD – it must work in clay, in the cold and under real loads. We are involved the whole way: from first sketch to finished machine in operation. And that's exactly where we believe you'll thrive.
About the role
As a hydraulic designer with us, you work with product development for real. You are not a cog in a large machinery, you are an important part of the whole. The projects vary in both size and duration, from quick improvements to longer development projects. What they have in common is that you are involved throughout the entire chain.
You will:
develop new machines, features and accessories
improve and further develop existing designs
work with everything from concept and dimensioning to finished solution
follow your designs all the way into production and beyond
You work closely with:
other designers
the workshop
service
This means you quickly get feedback on your solutions and can adjust, improve and optimize. The team currently consists of six designers. Decision paths are short, and ideas don't stay on paper.
Who we think you are
You are a designer who wants more than just delivering drawings. You are probably curious, self-driven and solution-oriented but also unpretentious enough to test, change and improve. And you don't mind going out into the workshop to see if what you've drawn actually holds up.
You want to:
understand how things work in reality
solve problems that don't have given answers
take responsibility for your solutions all the way through
We believe you have:
engineering education in mechanical engineering or hydraulics
experience with hydraulic-driven systems or mobile machines
familiarity with design, calculation and drawing
or similar experience within hydraulics
If you have worked in HyDraw, Plus+1 or similar, that's a merit. But what's most important is not exactly which systems you can use, but that you have a practical understanding of machines. It probably shows in how you design.
You might:
have done a lot of repairs yourself as a service technician
built your own projects
or worked close to production/workshop
Extra plus:
experience with heavy/mobile machines
knowledge of mechanics
familiarity with CE documentation
experience with ERP systems (e.g. Monitor)
You also need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Why Scandinavian Pale Driving
This is an environment for someone who likes practical engineering. We are one of the few companies that develop, build and service our own machines. That means we learn faster and build better. Right now we are investing heavily in the next generation of machines, while order intake is strong. This means you step into a situation where you can really make a difference.
With us you get:
work with technically advanced and unique machines
take great own responsibility and influence solutions
short decision paths, idea to reality happens quickly
follow your designs all the way through
work in a cohesive team without pretense
opportunity for some flexibility and remote work
Do you want to work with design that matters and not just shows on a drawing?
Then we think you should get in touch.
Does this sound like you?
