Household Manager for Small-Scale Preschool

Do you want to cook with purpose – close to nature and with children's health in focus? We are now hiring a Household Manager for Friluftsförskolan Backabusarna! About the Position As our Household Manager, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious and delicious lunches and snacks for our children. You work independently but in close collaboration with our educators to create a safe and welcoming mealtime environment. Responsibilities: - Plan menus (with focus on variety, nutrition, and sustainability) - Purchase ingredients - Prepare lunches and snacks - Food safety compliance and kitchen hygiene according to current guidelines - Maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen and related spaces, some cleaning of other areas We are Looking for Someone Who: - Has experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a preschool or school setting - Has knowledge of nutrition and special diets - Is organized, responsible, and flexible - Enjoys working in an environment where nature and outdoor education are central - Has a good demeanor and enjoys contributing to a positive atmosphere - Experience with meal-based pedagogy is a plus - Is positively inclined to cook outdoors in the preschool's outdoor kitchen once a week We Offer: - Meaningful work in a nature-focused setting - Pleasant colleagues and a familial work environment - Opportunity to influence menus and work methods About Us Friluftsförskolan Backabusarna is a facility where children spend a large part of the day outdoors and where food, health, and sustainability are important parts of daily life.
