E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy company E.ON SE with headquarters in Essen, Germany. Within the group, around 70,000 people work in 17 countries. Around 2,100 dedicated employees work throughout Sweden. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heating, and smart energy solutions to just over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility for and drive development forward, so that more can transition. Through our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs. About Us The Projects Department is part of the regional grid business and works with investments and connections in our regional grid. We are approximately 35 colleagues at several locations in Sweden and work closely with project managers, specialists, contractors, and other parts of E.ON. With us, there is high expertise, great commitment, and a desire to jointly develop both our working methods and our projects. Your Role As an HSEQ Engineer, you are responsible for HSE and quality issues in project operations and you will have an important role in developing how we work with quality assurance and quality control in our regional grid projects. You are responsible for creating a clear and uniform methodology for what should be controlled, when it should occur, and how the control should be conducted. In this way, you contribute to our facilities being built according to E.ON's technical requirements and maintaining the correct quality. A central part of the role is to develop our client-side control. You standardize working methods, coordinate and develop our external inspectors, and ensure they have the correct knowledge of our technical regulations, guidelines, and procedures. The role also includes participating in the qualification of new inspectors and contractors, as well as conducting quality audits. By following up on quality deviations and identifying areas for improvement, you also provide support to our project managers in addressing more complex or recurring quality issues. The role is strategic but also involves close contact with our projects and what is being built in the field. The role also includes coordinating and managing the project operations' work environment issues in collaboration with E.ON Energy Distribution's HSE department. The position can be located at one of our offices in Malmö, Hässleholm, Kalmar, Växjö, Norrköping, or Sundsvall. Regular travel to our projects throughout Sweden is a natural part of the role. Your Experience We are looking for someone with a higher education degree in electrical engineering or another relevant technical field. You have several years of experience from the electricity grid industry and preferably have worked with, for example, projects, design, construction, or testing of electrical installations. Experience from regional grids, work environment in construction and civil engineering, and knowledge of testing, commissioning, or FAT/SAT are advantageous. To thrive in this role, we believe you appreciate combining technical understanding with the development of working methods and processes. You work in a structured and independent manner, while also enjoying collaboration and sharing your knowledge. Since you will have many contact points, we also believe you are communicative and responsive and have an ability to build trust and bring others along in development and change. What is it Like Working Here? Your immediate manager Ola leads with structure, collaboration, and trust. He believes in leveraging the team's combined expertise and gives you considerable freedom to influence and develop your area of responsibility. You will also become part of the management team for Regional Grid Projects and work closely with our group managers, project managers, and specialists. At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion—it is crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and good development opportunities. We continually challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you will thrive. We work toward a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. We therefore offer good benefits so you can feel well and have good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include reduced working hours that exceed industry standards, health insurance, free healthcare, and more! We warmly welcome your application and invite you to join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is September 1. Since we work with socially critical operations, the employment is security-classified, which means a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
