The Personnel Unit is a strategic and supportive department whose mission is to contribute to making the Swedish Maritime Administration an attractive employer with a strong employer brand and efficient operations. We support core business operations in HR matters and develop HR strategies, guidelines, procedures, training, and advisory services for managers, leaders, and employees. The unit consists of a Unit Manager, Section Managers, HR Partners, HR Specialists, Agreement Specialists, and HR Administrators. We currently have 32 professional HR colleagues in the department. We are in an exciting development phase, further developing our HR organization, working methods, and HR offerings – work where you and your colleagues will play a crucial role. Working as an HR Specialist in Recruitment As an HR Specialist in Recruitment at the Swedish Maritime Administration, you play an important role providing professional support to our managers throughout the entire recruitment process – from initiation to final candidate selection. You work cross-functionally across the organization's various operations and support managers in recruiting a broad range of competencies, from able seamen to project managers and IT specialists ashore. The work encompasses both large-volume recruitment of hourly employees and permanent positions. The role is operational and involves a strong focus on recruitment administration, where you ensure that processes maintain high quality and that managers receive close and professional support throughout the recruitment process. The Swedish Maritime Administration is on a digital development journey that will continue for several years. This means that parts of the recruitment work are currently conducted manually, and therefore the role suits you if you are unpretentious, well-organized, and comfortable with administrative tasks. For positions requiring security clearance, you will conduct security vetting including security vetting interviews. You collaborate closely with HR Partners, HR Administrators, Agreement Specialists, and other HR Specialists to develop and improve our HR processes and contribute to efficient and quality operations. The role may also include other HR-related tasks. We are looking for someone who appreciates being an enabler for managers – someone who enjoys making processes function smoothly, has an eye for detail, and understands that well-executed administrative work is a prerequisite for a professional and legally sound recruitment process. Over time, there may be opportunities to develop as the organization and processes continue to evolve. Since the Swedish Maritime Administration's operations are geographically dispersed, work-related travel may be required. Who Are You? To be a suitable candidate for the role, you must have: Several years of academic education in the HR field (for example, an HR or Personnel Science program totaling 180 credits) Knowledge (through studies, internship, or work experience) of recruitment and competency-based recruitment techniques Very strong ability to handle administrative tasks requiring precision Very strong ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish It is meritorious if you have experience: Independently managing recruitment processes according to competency-based recruitment principles Working simultaneously with multiple recruitment processes with different focuses and recruiting managers, and quickly familiarizing yourself with new recruitment assignments Working in an operationally close 24/7 business environment Working with security vetting processes and conducting security vetting interviews We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. This recruitment is for a permanent position expected to be filled as soon as possible.
