We also conduct business activities in archaeology, conservation, and building restoration. In addition to our museum building in central Linköping, we operate museum activities at Löfstad Castle outside Norrköping and Sancta Birgitta Monastery Museum in Vadstena, and manage several culturally significant farms and properties throughout the region. The organization is primarily financed through grants, project funding, and assignment revenues. We have approximately 60 permanent employees plus around 40 temporary staff as needed.

Östergötlands Museum is seeking you to take on the role of HR Manager with also overarching responsibility for our operational support functions.
Job Responsibilities
As HR Manager, you lead our HR function and simultaneously coordinate and develop internal support for our operations. You lead our staff unit and share responsibility for employees in IT, administration, and facilities management, and you are part of Östergötlands Museum's management group.
Your responsibilities include:
· Leading and delegating work within your area of responsibility
· Strategic and operational work on all HR matters including talent acquisition and recruitment, competency development, workplace environment, leadership, employment law matters, salary and performance discussions, and organizational development
· Together with the Museum Director, ensure quality in systematic workplace environment efforts and maintain dialogue with labor unions
· Provide close support to managers in the operations
· Initiate and conduct training related to your area
· Contribute to management group work and jointly develop the organization
· Hold personnel, budget, and operational responsibility in your role as manager
Qualifications
We are seeking a confident and inspirational leader with the ability to see the big picture while also making things happen. You have an academic degree in HR and several years of experience in qualified operational and strategic management and HR work. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of financial management and an interest in culture.
To succeed in this position, it is important that you are solution-oriented and have the ability to drive and complete change and development initiatives. You have excellent collaboration skills and are diplomatic without compromising your ability to question and make demands. Other characteristics we believe define you are positive, proactive, and inspiring. You can work independently but the position also requires close collaboration with other managers and leadership throughout the organization. We expect you to have clear leadership and the ability to communicate clearly and simply with people across the organization. The responsibilities are broad and multifaceted, which requires a lack of pretense. Great importance is placed on personal qualities in the recruitment process.
