HR Generalist The Department of Literary Studies and Rhetoric and the Department of the History of Ideas are now seeking a replacement for our HR Generalist. You will be part of a team of seven administrators who collaborate and are responsible for tasks within both departments. We are a team with good cooperation where we help each other even though our roles have different focuses. We work in nice facilities and have close proximity to each other and the two departments we support. For us, professional development, engagement, and job satisfaction are important. The administrative team is led by an administrative manager. The departments teach and conduct research in literary studies and rhetoric, and the history of ideas. Together, the departments have a turnover of approximately 95 million SEK and employ approximately 90 people. Responsibilities The HR Generalist provides qualified and consultative support to the departments' management and employees on matters relating to all HR areas. The responsibilities include independently handling and supporting managers in personnel matters such as recruitment and rehabilitation cases, as well as being driving force in systematic work environment initiatives. You are also responsible for introducing new employees, managing leaves of absence, fees, salary postings, and sick leave, as well as other personnel administration matters. You monitor compliance with labor laws and agreements, conduct salary analyses, and produce statistics. You are also the departments' contact person with the university's HR department. The position also includes supporting international employees' contact with Swedish authorities, other administrative tasks, and, if needed, assisting other administrators in supporting the departments' activities. Since this position means you are the team's only HR Generalist, it involves handling a wide range of matters with a high degree of independence and a good ability to proactively solve various tasks. Qualifications Required Relevant higher education or equivalent competence as well as several years of HR experience. As a person, you need to be outgoing and have excellent communication skills. You have very strong abilities to express yourself in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English. You are service-minded, responsible, thorough, initiative-taking, attentive, and solution-oriented. The work requires the ability to manage workload peaks. The ability to work in a structured manner and to prioritize is also important. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability such as excellent teamwork abilities and a flexible and self-driven working style. Desirable/Additional Merits Experience from the higher education sector is meriting. Experience with the university's personnel administration systems such as Primula and Varbi, as well as knowledge of the university's organization is also meriting.
